REPORT OF THE PRESBYTERY COUNCIL

MEETING AT FIRST PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH

HUNTSVILLE, TX

JANUARY 19, 2018

The meeting was called to order at 3:00 pm by Moderator Jack Holt

The opening prayer was offered by Rev. Dr. Gloria Villa Diaz

Members present were: Moderator Jack Holt; Vice-Moderator John Lindsay; Fredy Diaz, Taskforce on Ordained Clergy; James Webb, Board of Finance & Trustees; Tony Martin, Board of Missions; Mark McNeese, Taskforce on Theological & Social Concerns; Jeff Gehle, Coach and Consultant; Gloria Villa Diaz, Pastor Host and Judicial Concerns; Paula Hayes, Stated Clerk/Treasurer

A motion was made and approved to excuse the absence of Robert Rush and Duane Dougherty

A motion was made and approved that the original agreement with Jeff Gehle be honored and that his actual lodging costs be paid in full.

Recommendation 1: That Trinity Presbytery approve a 25% increase in the salary of Stated Clerk/Treasurer, Paula Hayes.

Recommendation 2: That Trinity allocate $400 per month for a person to work/shadow Paula’s work in order to become familiar with the work done by the Stated Clerk/Treasurer. Paula will find and hire that person to work with her.

Recommendation 3: That the Treasurer’s report be approved.
